Jane frantically called mid-morning with anxiety, frustration, and fear. She was breathing rapidly, shallowly and thought she might be having a panic attack. She began telling her story and crying in between sentences. First, I suggested she put the phone down and quickly tap gently on the sides of her temples while saying “stop it, stop it, STOP IT” over and over again. She did this for about a minute and finally was able to breathe normally and communicate clearly. Now that she calmed down, her work can begin.
Then I suggested she turn off her technology, unplug and go outside for a walk for about 15 minutes to shift her perspective. As part of our conversation, she chose to journal about her feelings in that moment of panic, and bring them to her session to process.
What happens if we neglect to release emotional pain? This pain can actually become poison to our bodies and cause despair and disease. Let me share with you why it’s important to release and reframe this pain without medication for a more sustainable solution.
We all have things in our lives we wish we hadn’t done or said, and we likely spend precious time wanting to go back and make a different choice. These regrets remain as unresolved triggers, accumulated fear, and despair, which often cause pain in the body. This fills us with self-loathing until we finally make an effort to complete and work through the emotions. Why should that even matter to us…after all isn’t the past just the past? Actually, one of the best reasons to take a second look is because when you clear out the stuck emotional pain you create the space for new growth in your life.
Often when clients come to me they have tried self-medication with drugs and alcohol, even food, technology or other addictive behaviors which feed our fear allowing it to run amok and create even more despair. There are plenty of distractions that keep us from being fully aware of our pain. Avoidance creates exaggeration of unresolved emotions. Our body will whisper to us through subtle signals until it feels neglected – and then it will scream.
On the day the pain cries out that it must be heard and WILL be heard, we need help. It’s not always fun to face our personal or collective pain, yet if we don’t, it becomes an underground toxin in our lives. When our plate is too full, sleep becomes erratic, and it’s difficult to get to a restful place where we can process emotions. Unresolved emotional pain and regrets continue to build as the body tries to carry the load until the full plate spills over to us, our health or even toward others in an explosion. This emotional havoc can ruin our dreams and hope for a happy life. Why is energy healing with Rapid Eye so different in managing this stuffed emotional baggage? By waking up the body’s natural REM sleep processing tools of blinking, breathing and eye movement, we can retrain ourselves to release trapped emotional pain.
Getting back to a centered life is a process. The techniques I share with clients not only resolve the full plate they arrive with, but also create tools in their lives that allow them to manage everyday stresses with new found clarity and purpose. As they reveal and heal the trapped pain in their life, it becomes the fuel for new beginnings which then attract new opportunities.
Energy Healing Techniques including Rapid Eye, Reiki, polarity, imagery, and self-care tools assist you in clearing out the closet of what no longer serves you, sharpen your focus and resolve old stuck thinking that recreates ‘same stuff, different day’ over and over. Rapid Eye uses blinking, breathing and bilateral eye movement techniques to assist the body processing.
Clear your stress, reawaken your natural REM sleep process (with RET) and live the life you desire. This drug-free modality will assist you in your journey safely, quickly and naturally. Processing your fear, pain, shame and guilt will give you increased resilience to change, greater clarity and deeper insight.
