Release the Shadow

We’ve often heard of shadow energy.  What is it?  How do we resolve and release it?

Shadow energy is coming from the fright/flight part of our brain.  It sees raw threat where there may not be any, and is concerned with survival.  It is paired with intense feeling.

If you find yourself thinking…

  • I am so hurt, it will never go away.
  • Attack!
  • People put me in pain.
  • Danger! Danger! I might die.
  • I don’t deserve to exist.
  • No one loves me.

You are in the lower brain and this cycle is a tough one to break.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA  Often we explode toward others giving a short term release.  The cycle will quickly rebuild until we can feel the feelings in a safe process, release the emotion and be free to change our perception.  Many of us are unable/unwilling to feel.  That is step one.  You can’t get there any other way.  Letting go of the judgement and see these feelings as just energy.  Energy that you want to release and reframe.

If you find you feel out of control, panic, dread, irrational, and would just as soon pick a fight, you are in the shadow energy.  This can lead to unprovoked attack on self and others.  You have crossed the boundary and then guilt and shame are quick to join in.  Venting is not release or purification.  It is a habit – one that doesn’t work and can actually harm our relationships.

You must do your work and a big part of that is feeling the feeling.  Energy Healing Techniques work with your innate knowing to release, reflect and resolve through understanding what the shadow feeling meant for you and your journey.  It is a journey and when you choose to take it, this gives you a new way of approaching your life and creates a healthier way to relate to your mind and others.  Our energy affects our mind which in turn affects our body.  Stress release is at the top of the list.  When you release an intense emotion, there is no more resistance and that frees you up to exercise your personal knowing and insight.

I believe that we try to make the best choices in our lives based on the information we have available to us in the moment. We make what appears to be the “best” choice and then a moment later, seeing the results, we have more feedback information to use that may help us to make a different choice. Simply, when we are overloaded with stress, we don’t/can’t/won’t make good choices. Stress throws us into the modality of fear.  When we choose from a place of fear, fearful outcomes result each and every time.

    Good stuff, most behaviors are habits, you need to determine if they work, and if you like that kind of style to be effective and efficient.
