Where Is My Patience?

Feeling my impatience boil up inside until I, in a split second, react and create more problems than solutions scares me.  Why have I seemingly lost control?

We all have times of impatience  – the driver in front of us is slow, the dog doesn’t come quickly enough when we call, or the kids/spouse are distracted and we have to repeat ourselves – and sometimes we can ride it out, others we fly into reaction.   Reaction is often a fear-based, weak response (just do something, anything) and can create disastrous results.  In hindsight, we often see that ‘point in time’ where we could have done things differently and made a different choice.

How can I derail this knee-jerk response?  Do anything that brings your energy into the present moment.  A quick suggestion is to place your tongue behind your two front teeth where the teeth and gums meet.  A little pressure here is a great grounding technique.  Take time each day for yourself – be that meditation in the morning, saying affirmations to yourself, regular yoga and exercise that relaxes you and allows you to focus your energy – when we don’t put ourselves at the top of the list, we begin to feel fragmented and scattered and that creates anxiety and tension.  It is like we become a bull’s eye just waiting for someone to push our buttons so we can explode and feel a momentary release.    The only problem with this pattern is that we often hurt ourselves and others with this response…and once that blast is out of the bag, it is hard to undo the effects.  Use an Energy Healing session to clear the old patterns acquired from family and environment that keep us unconsciously responding to people and events.  Feel what it is like to really be present in everyday living.  Experience life with new eyes, new energy and create amazing results.
