Change is GOOD for your Life??

Change or be changed – truer words were never spoken.  Change can overwhelm us quickly and then we feel like nothing is working … our relationships, work, home and life!  Take a breath and know that you can shift and learn to welcome change.  First on the agenda is to remove all the fear and anxiety that can accompany change.  With Rapid Eye sessions, we can remove the triggers we have to change and allow it to flow into our lives without igniting a firestorm of negative thinking that digs us into a very deep hole.

wheel bbqThe resistance to change comes up because what we feel, know and believe inside (core values) doesn’t balance with what we see and present (goals) in the external world.   When this balance gets lopsided, so does what we think and perceive of all around us.  Negative thinking is not a luxury most of us can afford.  When we are in resistance to change, it can be impossible to find just one thing to feel positive about.  As you release the negative thinking, you can embrace and choose empowerment, choose love over fear, and live life with passion as you go for your heart’s desire.  Change and transformation are a force for good in your life.    With Rapid Eye you can make a break from the past patterns of limiting negative dynamics and realize that conflict and struggle are indicators of real growth.

  2. Thanks Joseph…. thoughtful and provocative. I remember when I first came to RET and learned “change is inevitable, growth is optional” — which I have now amended to “Change is inevitable. Growth is inevitable.” We are always evolving and becoming and I, for one, love the journey.

    Thanks for the reminder that change is:
    * Usually easier than we imagine it will be
    * Necessary for personal growth
    * Inevitable as we are constantly adapting to our dynamic environments
    * Often accompanied with anxieties and resistance that can be effectively mitigated with Rapid Eye Technology

    AND –

    Most people think of change only when something happens in their life – like a hurtful breakup, a death in the family, a traumatic event or series of events, etc. – some perceived negative experience or situation that DRIVES them to seek change from what they perceive as overwhelmingly uncomfortable.

    But my feeling about change is much broader – involving the concept of evolution.

    My belief is that true balance is only achieved in death (oblivion) – because absolute balance is the null or non-existent state (energy state zero). Energy can only be energy as it is compared to no energy (energy state zero).

    Positive energy is attracted to zero energy yet in its pursuit of it overshoots it to become negative energy (compared to zero) that in seeking balance, overshoots zero again to become positive – a cycle that, thanks to resistance, loses energy in each loop (overshoots a little less each time) until it finally comes to rest (zero – death). The “loss of energy” in the cycle is what we experience as living – in physics it’s known as “resistance” and is what gives properties to matter in our physical universe. You experience light due to resistance to its energy, which is lessened because of the resistance it encountered. In effect, your perception of the light lessened its energy.

    Balance = death. Energy is due to imbalance. Resistance is necessary for experience (perception) yet decreases energy. Resistance to change is unnecessary.

    That means life is ALWAYS dynamic – never truly balanced – always in a state of change. The only constant is adaption to new/dynamic environments (even within ourselves).

    That which we label “negative” is more likely “resistance to change.” Anger, fear, etc. are more likely experiences of resistance to change (defense) than they are emotional reactions to environmental stimuli. Each time we add resistance to the change cycle, we lessen our overall energy – which, over time, will diminish our life force energy to the point of death – unless we, well, change.

    In my world view, balance is not the goal of life – non-resistance to change is the goal. Therapy and education are key to making non-resistance effective toward useful (correctly adaptive) change. One must RELEASE and LEARN – doing one or the other is insufficient.

    Change is inevitable. Resistance to change is optional.
